Hello and welcome to "As The Brush Turns".  We are your one stop shop for handturned custom shaving brushes made from the finest domestic and exotic wood available.  We also turn brushes from acrylics; lucites; and wood/resin hybrids!

We are beautifully located in the central part of NC where the Uwharrie Mountains run.  We are a stones throw from the NC Zoo and near the infmaous Purgatory Mountain from which much of the Zoo was built upon.  That location is a very old Native American location and to this day you can still find nice arrow heads!

We also stock a line of men's artisan aftershaves that are made "single batch" or one at a time especially for you at time of order! Not to leave out the ladies we also make a women's specific aftershave balm for applying to your legs after shaving with a nice floral scent with the same benefits of the men's aftershave.

All our aftershaves are 100% all natural and only utilize witch hazel as the primary ingredient; lanolin or glycerin as the primary emollient; pure pharma grade essential oils and fragrances; and each "single batch" has potassium alum added for any nicks or minor cuts as a result of shaving as an antiseptic as well as astringent!

We use witch hazel because unlike alcohol based store bought products, witch hazel will not dry your skin out and deplete vital oils in your skin.  Plus, alcohol is much cheaper and pads the bottom line of a commercial businesses and some artisans pockets by using such a cheap ingredient!

Our aftershaves do not have that overpowering scent like one bathed in a bottle of cologne.  They are medicinal mainly with that slight whisp of scent that does not offend.  You can still put your favorite cologne on over our product!
